Denver, CO – Computronix is pleased to announce the company will work with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (‘PLCB’) to implement the market-leading POSSE Alcoholic Beverage Control (“POSSE ABC”) software as the agency’s regulatory affairs system.
As the agency that manages the alcoholic beverage industry in Pennsylvania, the PLCB is responsible for all aspects of licensing and retailing, as well as providing an education program to reduce underage and dangerous drinking. The PLCB issues, renews or validates more than 50,000 licenses and permits annually and is charged with establishing regulations to protect the safety, peace, health and welfare of the commonwealth. The new regulatory affairs computer system will provide a single gateway for businesses and individuals to apply for and ultimately manage their alcoholic beverage licenses and permits.
“We are very pleased to have been selected by the PLCB and partner with them to implement a state-of-the-art system that will provide enhanced customer service, communications and regulatory activities for the benefit of their staff, businesses and Pennsylvania residents,” said Gord Meeberg, Computronix Vice President of Business Development.
POSSE ABC enables state and other liquor authorities to increase productivity by automating, streamlining and configuring their unique liquor licensing and regulatory requirements. POSSE ABC is a web-based integrated software solution that includes a 24/7 public portal for online applications and renewals, best practice processing for internal PLCB staff, performance dashboards and metrics for management and mobile access for both customers and internal staff.
POSSE ABC customers include the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, the State of New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control, the State of Kansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division, the British Columbia Liquor Control and Licensing Branch and the Newfoundland-Labrador Liquor Corporation. Computronix serves the membership of the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA), the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators (NCSLA) and the Canadian Association of Liquor Jurisdictions (CALJ).
