Dallas Awarded for POSSE Inspection & Plan Review System

Computronix is pleased to announce that the City of Dallas, a long-time Computronix client, has received the Web Management & E-Government award from the Public Technology Institute (PTI) for the City’s Building Inspection Electronic Plan Review System (BI-EPRS).

The award was presented by PTI at its 2015 Local Government CIO Summit Technology Solutions Awards ceremony held on October 11-13 in Salt Lake City. An independent panel of judges awarded local government organizations for their innovative and interesting solutions to technology challenges within their jurisdictions.

The City of Dallas was recognized for integrating an electronic plan review solution into its existing POSSE framework, creating time efficiencies relating to electronic plan markup, reviews, and approvals. The electronic files of the marked plans are automatically saved in POSSE to ensure that associated workflow activities have clear documentation tied to permitting activities.

“This project was a great first step in delivering Electronic Plan Review for the City,” said Chris Truka, Computronix project manager for the City of Dallas. “We are excited to continue our partnership with the City and develop other new, innovative ways to use POSSE in the future.” Computronix and the City of Dallas have a long record of technology innovation and success. Since 2005, Computronix’s powerful POSSE solution has supported multiple land management activities within the City.
