Denver, CO – POSSE Version 7, the latest major upgrade to Computronix’s flagship POSSE software suite, is now available. POSSE Version 7 GA (General Availability) begins shipping Aug. 23. A POSSE Version 7 orientation course will be offered Sept. 16-17 in Edmonton in advance of the 2013 Computronix Client Conference for users interested in learning more about the release.
POSSE Version 7 represents over two years of significant research and development investment by Edmonton-based Computronix. The new POSSE release will offer additional product “sizzle,” simplifying usability for internal users. Improvements to system configuration capabilities will significantly reduce implementation project schedules and complexity and continue to demonstrate POSSE as award-winning, leading-edge work management software for the government regulatory sector.
“We are very proud of the thinking, research, innovation, and craftsmanship that have gone into producing Version 7,” said Jim den Otter, Chief Technology Officer for Computronix.
“There simply is no other regulatory software on the market today offering the wealth of features contained in our POSSE Version 7 product line,” said den Otter. “POSSE V7 is in a class of its own.”
For existing POSSE clients still using client-server configurations, Computronix has kicked off an additional project to deliver a tool to convert client-server configurations into the new fully browser-based environment delivered with POSSE Version 7.
“Market demand has shifted to Web-based solutions,” said den Otter. “Increased standardization and the introduction of rich-client browser technologies has finally provided an environment where fully tactile, ‘single-page’ applications for e-government and e-business can be deployed. POSSE Version 7 provides a streamlined framework to take full advantage of these emerging technologies.”
New POSSE customers will see Version 7 features underpinning the core POSSE Work Management software suite of modules as well as the pre-configured POSSE Permitting & Licensing System (“POSSE PLS”) that offers a compelling blend of out-of-the-box, industry-best-practice business applications combined with unparalleled system configuration flexibility and adaptability.
